Why We Stick with Halogen and the R7s Connector
We use a shortwave halogen tube inside a quartz envelope. It’s tough enough to handle the constant on-and-off cycle without cracking, which is a common failure point in cheaper ceramic heaters. And because of the halogen gas inside, the filament doesn’t oxidize. That means a longer life and steady, consistent heat. The R7s connector is the go-to for linear halogen lamps, and for good reason. It gives you a solid, low-resistance connection that can handle the full power draw of a high-wattage unit. And when it’s time to replace the lamp? It’s a quick swap. No messing with rewiring.
